Volunteers Needed!

Join the conference team by donating your time, expertise, and assistance with the planning and coordination of the event. Everyone who wants to be included can and will be!

Please note: Just like a real-world conference, we are all working very hard to ensure that the event goes smoothly and we need your commitment to its success if you volunteer for a position. With such a large scale, distributed, and collaborative endeavor, good communication is key! Be sure to keep in touch with your area chair or coordinator if you have questions or run into trouble fulfilling your role. We'll do everything we can to help!

Media Team

Many of the presentations and events scheduled for the conference will be using live streamed audio and video feeds, as well as linking to other forms of media, websites, and more. Members of the Media Team will assist with the presentations to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Members will also assist with wikis and websites associated with the conference.

If you are skilled in web and multimedia and want to join the team, contact Chris Collins, (SL Fleep Tuque) for more information.

Time-Zone Captains

Each Time-Zone Captain will be responsible for managing the greeters for those time slots and assisting with the general flow of the conference. Commit to a 3 hour time chunk in the 24 hour day and then assemble your team of greeters and welcome area staff to help us ensure that every attendee of the conference has a terrific experience!

Time-Zone Captains can view the schedule here to see which time blocks are needed.

Contact Marlene Brooks (SL Zana Kohime) with your preferred time and you will be contacted in-world with more information soon!

Welcome Area Greeters

The conference will be taking place in multiple locations across the grid, so it's very important that we have someone available at each welcome location to guide visitors and help staff the event. Welcome Area Greeters volunteer for a 1-hour time commitment to staff a location and help with this process.
